In the center-north area, the largest city of the State is located in the middle of the luxuriant pastures where the most famous purebred horses are raised. Half a dozen stud farms are open for visit. On the State's nine race courses, horse racing competitions are held almost everyday.

In Louisville, on the Ohio river, we can lose our minds each year on the 1st Saturday of May. It is the day of Kentucky Derby celebration, the greatest horse-racing tournament of the United States, and everything that has nothing to do with horses passes in the second plan. Do make your hotel reservation in advance. Once the delirium is gone, you will be able to embark on the Belle de Louisville, a charming old steamboat, for a cruise on the Ohio river.

In the center-south of Kentucky Mammoth Cave National Park is located. A spectacular, worth-seeing attraction. Certain underground chambers are 60 m of width and 57 m of height. Mammoth Cave has been a tourist attraction for more than 180 years. Most of the underground labyrinth is still unexplored. This vast complex of caves, comprises hundreds of kilometers of corridors, pits, high caves, splendid limestone concretions, underground rivers and lakes explorable by boat.
